Work Christmas Party Venues Around Windermere (2026)
Somebody has to organise the work Christmas party, and if you're reading this, it's probably you. Congratulations. Nobody else wanted it either.
The good news is that Bowness and Windermere are good places to hold one. There are plenty of venues within walking distance of each other, a train station for anyone coming from further afield, and enough choice that you can match the night to your team, whether that's a proper sit-down dinner or a disco till midnight.

Before you start ringing round
Get a rough headcount first. Most venues price and plan around group size, and some have minimums, so "about 20" is more useful than "everyone, probably."
Think about the night of the week. Friday and Saturday nights in December go fast and usually cost more. A Monday to Thursday date gets you more choice, more attention from the staff and often a lower price per head. Your team will also get a quieter bar instead of fighting through Saturday crowds.
Check deposits and cancellation terms. They vary a lot, from a few pounds per head to full prepayment up front. That matters if your numbers are likely to wobble.
Sort out getting home early. December taxis in the Lakes get booked up. Book them when you book the venue.

The Easy Breeze runs a Christmas party set menu built for work groups, on Monday to Thursday evenings through December. It's £35 per head, or £40 with a welcome drink, for groups of 10 to 35.
Your group gets its own private function room with no hire fee and no minimum spend. For whoever's managing the budget, the price per head is the whole cost of the room. It's in the middle of Bowness, so pre-drinks and after-drinks are a short walk away, and with the midweek dates you're not competing with every other office in Cumbria for a Friday.

If your team wants the full party night with a disco, Wild Boar is the traditional choice. Party nights run on the Fridays and Saturdays of 11–12 and 18–19 December at £57.50 per head. That includes three courses, party novelties, a champagne prize draw and a disco until midnight. There are also quieter Festive Nights without the disco on midweek and Sunday evenings, at £52.50 per head for groups of 10 or more. Rooms are available at a party-goers' rate, which avoids the taxi problem.
BAHA, Bowness

BAHA suits bigger groups who want activities as well as dinner. The three-course Christmas dinner needs a minimum of six. Groups of 30 or more can have a buffet in the restaurant or the top-floor cocktail bar, with entertainment ranging from a disco to a drag act. You can add private karaoke or a cocktail-making class. They also host Christmas parties in January, which is useful if December is too busy for your team. Bookings need full prepayment and are non-refundable.
The Village Inn, Bowness

For a relaxed pub Christmas, the Village Inn's Festive Fayre menu runs from 12 November into early January, and bookings need only a small deposit per head. It's a good fit for smaller teams who want a festive meal without the formality.

Marina View takes groups from 4 up to 100 and does bespoke food and drink packages as well as ticketed festive party nights. If you want water views with your Christmas dinner, this is the one to look at. Get in touch directly for this year's party night dates.
So which one?
For a big party night with a disco, look at Wild Boar. For activities and a big group, look at BAHA. For a laid-back pub meal, the Village Inn works. For a private room at a clear price, midweek in the middle of Bowness, I'd point you to The Easy Breeze.
