£500 Xmas 8-Ball Pool Competition

Welcome to our £500 Easy Breeze Christmas 8-Ball Pool Competition.

The event will commence on Thursday 30th November 2023 and will take place at The Easy Breeze every Tuesday and/or Thursday night thereafter (subject to final entry numbers). The tournament will start as a league round-robin and end as a knockout competition culminating on Thursday 21st December at which time we will ascertain our Easy Breeze Festive Pool Champion.

Prize Money:

The winner will receive our Easy Breeze 8 Ball Trophy and Prize Money amounting to £300 cash together with a further £100 voucher redeemable in The Easy Breeze. The Winners Prize Money totals £400. Our Runner Up will receive £75 cash and an additional £25 Easy Breeze Voucher. Total runner-up prize money totals £100.

Rules:

The tournament will be played under International 8 Ball Rules (rules attached below).

League Phase:

(a) The Draw: Individual participants and match play will be identified for the singles competition at a ‘draw event’ hosted at The Breeze on Monday 19th November.

(b) Structure: A round-robin format will be implemented whereby each participant competes against every other participant at least once.

(c) Points System: 2 points will be assigned for a win and 0 points for a loss.

(d) League Standings: An individual leaderboard will be maintained to track each participant's performance throughout the league phase.

Note: In the event of a tie-brake situation the head-to-head winner will advance and if required a one frame play off.

Knockout Phase: (Thursday 21st December 2023)

(a) Qualified Participants: Top individuals from the league(s) phase will advance to the knockout stage.

(b) Bracket Setup: A knockout bracket with pairs of participants facing off will be set up. The winner of each match will progress to the next round.

(c) Single Elimination: Participants are eliminated after losing a best-of-three match, and the last remaining participant in each branch of the bracket moves on to the next round.

Knockout Matches:

The competition concludes with a final best-of-five match between the winners of the semifinals to determine the overall champion.
